The Wall Street Journal’s Books Section ensured a great start to 2016 for me. The weekend edition of the paper, January 2-3, included a great review of Damnificados.
A couple of excerpts from the review:
“Mr. Wilson, whose influences run from sci-fi to Steinbeck, tells his underdog story with lusty energy, filling it with all manner of portents and miracles.”
“Here be two-headed wolves, megalithic crocodiles and life-saving dragonflies. And the final battle between the army and the unarmed but united damnificados is the stuff of legend.”
My thanks to Sam Sacks. The review is here.
